Our Compost Zing bag is No. 4 plastic, which is a soft plastic and is recyclable in some areas of NZ. This is denoted by the No. 4 recycling logo printed on the bags.
Please visit the following websites that provide information and guidance on plastics used for general packaging.
- Explanation of plastic types from Econation. This is an informative article on plastics and their “resin identification code”. Printed on the bottom of packages and products, there is a code numbered between 1-7. Find out what each code means and which plastics to avoid.
