How does EnsoPet work?

Once installed in your garden, the system processes pet waste with ease. EnsoPet mix accelerates the breakdown of waste by enhancing microorganism activity within the composting unit.

Due to this continuous cycle of composting, the EnsoPet composter can take many months to fill or may never completely fill. If your composter fills, simply relocate it to another spot in your garden.

Ensopet not only manages pet waste but also rejuvenates your garden's soil. By reintroducing carbon into the soil, it fosters microbial activity, leading to healthier soil conditions and vibrant gardens.

Benefits of EnsoPet

  • A simple and hygienic system
  • Quickly and safely recycles pet waste
  • Reuses pet waste instead of adding to landfill
  • Enriches soil by returning carbon and beneficial microbes to the earth
  • Reduces pathogens
  • Eliminates pet waste odour

Step by step guide

  • Assemble your composter by clipping the 4 sides together. The lid fits on top of the cone.
  • Select a spot in your garden away from edible and phosphorus sensitive native plants.
  • Dig a hole that is slightly bigger than the composter (about 40cm wide x 40cm deep).
  • Place your EnsoPet Composter in the hole so that just the lid is exposed and add soil around the outside of the cone. Avoid compacting soil around the outside of the cone.

  • Add pet waste regularly to the composter using the tongs provided.
  • Sprinkle EnsoPet Starter Mix on top of your waste (20gm for small dogs/other small pets and 40gm for large dogs)
  • Place the lid on the composter.

  • For best results add small amounts of pet waste on a regular basis.
  • Keep your EnsoPet Composter moist to enhance the composting process. Rain enters through slots in the cone and when you water your garden.
  • If your composter fills up too quickly this is likely due to various factors including: the condition of your soil, a large amount of pet waste, your pet’s diet, and moisture content.
  • If you have more than one pet or a lot of pet waste, you may need to install a second EnsoPet Composter.
  • If your soil is in poor condition it make take several weeks to begin improving.

  • Ensopet should be stored out of direct sunlight in a cool place
  • Avoid opening in an enclosed area
  • Avoid inhalation of the product
  • Always wear gloves and a mask when using the product
